What’s New
In late December 2022 Del photographed Royal Academy world renowned artist Jock McFadyen at his studio in East London. It was a brilliant experience and is the beginning of a major new project capturing contemporary artists. See Jock’s portrait adjacent.
Portraits to a Life of Dedication - featuring the clinical staff at St Georges Hospital in London is completed after three years of constant photography. We will be keeping you updated with new content and planned exhibitions, including the new addition of The London Air Ambulance which is currently in planning. While driving through the backstreets of Croydon, Del stumbled across an amazing woodyard which is run by a group of dedicated carpenters and woodsmen. ‘It really is like travelling back to the 1950’s working here’ one of the carpenters commented. It is truly a unique place – the atmosphere, characters and environment is amazing. Del has therefore persuaded the team to allow him to organise a special location portrait shoot on large format which should be concluded by late 2023.
Motivated by the images of Irwin Penn, Del set out to construct a portable studio ‘V’ which can be used to create intense portraits of subjects with general lighting from above. This will be ongoing throughout 2023 and into early 2024. Look out for the new additions.
